‘Innovation is hard. It really is. Because most people don’t get it. Remember, the automobile, the airplane, the telephone, these were all considered toys at their introduction because they had no constituency. They were too new.’ – Nolan Bushnell
The COUL is our very own home-made Camera Observing Underwater Life (COUL).
Currently my brother and I are designing and building an underwater camera, neither of us have any experience with electronics and it is the first time either of us have designed and built anything of our own from scratch.
Our aim? To learn about underwater species and their habits without human presence which may disturb natural behavioral patterns. This is achieved through an unimposing, independent, camera which collects pictures and sends them back to humans for analysis and ultimately for us to learn something new.
My brother, Michael, will be guest blogging for Divers Who Want To Learn More and will be discussing our plans and designs for the COUL and how we are turning an idea into reality.
