Bigeye trevallies live in shoals by day and individually by night

Bigeye trevallies often shoal in shallow water in the western pacific. By day they live in slow moving shoals, but at night the shoals split up and hunt for food singly, they move quickly in search for fish and crustaceans on which they feed.
